Roady's Humanitarian Bowl Ties Record for TV Ratings
Idaho's Thrilling Victory Over Bowling Green Reaches over Three Million Viewers on ESPN

BOISE, Idaho – The Roady's Humanitarian Bowl today announced that the Dec. 30 game on ESPN, featuring the University of Idaho's 43-42 win against Bowling Green State University, equalled its all-time highest television rating. The game received a Nielsen household rating of 2.4, representing over three million total viewers, tying the record for the highest rating ever for the Bowl set last year. Last year's game, featuring the University of Nevada against the University of Maryland, was in the identical 2:30 p.m. MST (4:30 p.m. EST) timeslot on the Wednesday before New Year's Day.

"The TV rating further demonstrates that the Bowl appeals to fans throughout the country," said Kevin McDonald, executive director of the Roady's Humanitarian Bowl. "Viewers tune in each year with the expectation that they'll see a wild, entertaining game on the blue turf in Boise."

The 2009 Roady's Humanitarian Bowl featured the highest-scoring contest in the Bowl's 13-year history with 85 total points. Over the years, the Bowl has featured an average of 64 total points scored per game, providing an entertaining showcase for fans and viewers.

The Roady's Humanitarian Bowl is the only bowl game in the United States that has humanity in its brand. The Bowl recognizes the positive impact teams, coaches and student-athletes have in their communities and their leadership roles in promoting humanitarian efforts.
